Every Lux Diamonds ring is created individually — never pre-made, never mass-produced. We offer two paths depending on how personalized you’d like your experience to be. Both result in a ring that is intentionally crafted, meaningful, and uniquely yours.

Made to Order

Our Made-to-Order rings from our website,  begin with one of our existing designs. You choose your metal, ring size, with a center stone, and we create your piece from scratch with the same level of detail and care that defines all of our work.

Center stones (1ct and above) may be either lab-grown or natural, and each one is hand-selected by Jeremy with consultation with you if you choose to, otherwise he will select a diamond that’s at the top of its class diamond.  We partner directly with one of the most trusted lab-grown diamond grower in the industry and one of the largest natural diamond supplier in the U.S. — ensuring consistent access to exceptional stones.  None of the diamonds Lux uses ever show up on any website due to the consistency of high grading and exclusivity.  

Your choice of center diamond typically determines whether the side stones are natural or lab-grown, so the piece remains visually harmonious.  Of course it is flexible based on your own request on this.

This path is ideal if you love one of our existing designs and simply want it made just for you, without additional customization beyond selecting the metal, stone, and size.

Custom Orders

Custom Orders are for pieces that go beyond what you see online — whether it’s a special diamond shape, a unique gemstone, or a design that requires new CAD development.

Custom pieces have a $5,000 minimum and include one-on-one design collaboration with Jeremy. You’ll explore proportions, stone selection, setting style, and the fine details that make a ring feel truly personal.

This is the perfect path if you have a specific vision or want a ring that exists only for you.

Rush production may be available only for Made-to-Order engagement rings where Jeremy selects the center diamond. This allows us to begin production more quickly while still maintaining quality.

If you have a timeline you’re hoping to meet, please reach out before purchasing so we can confirm availability. We will always do our best to support your special moment.

Because each ring is made specifically for you, changes become limited once production begins, and adjusting details may extend your timeline.

Important Delivery Notice

For your security, we strongly recommend not routing your package to carrier pickup locations such as FedEx/UPS Access Points or retail shipping stores. While rare, package theft has increased nationwide, and these locations are not considered secure.

Once a package is scanned as “Delivered” at a pickup location, the insurance coverage ends immediately, and the package is no longer protected.

The safest delivery option is to ship your order directly to your home or to a trusted address where someone will be available to sign for it.

If you need to update your shipping address, please reach out before your order ships. Once a shipping label has been created, we cannot modify the address, and any changes requested directly through FedEx may void insurance coverage. Lux Diamonds cannot be responsible for packages lost due to customer-initiated address changes after the label is issued.

Domestic Shipping Policy

• All U.S. orders are shipped via FedEx Next Day Air and require an adult signature at delivery.
• We do not ship to PO Boxes, hotels, temporary rentals, or international addresses.
• Every package is fully insured and shipped in unbranded packaging for discretion.
• You will receive a shipping confirmation email once your order is prepared, including tracking details.
• If your address changes while your piece is being crafted, please notify us as soon as possible — we will always do our best to help.
• FedEx will attempt delivery three times. If no one is available to sign, the package will be returned to us. Once returned, reshipment can be arranged, and reshipping costs are the customer’s responsibility.

Please allow up to 2 business days for tracking to update after your shipping label has been created.

• In-stock pieces require 1–3 business days for processing before shipment.
• We ship Monday through Thursday to avoid packages sitting in courier warehouses over weekends.
• Each ring has its own production timeline, listed on its product page — please review this before placing your order.
• If you are planning around a proposal or special date, we recommend allowing extra time in case of unexpected courier delays.

To keep your experience smooth and stress-free, we suggest having your ring in hand before finalizing proposal plansor travel. This ensures peace of mind and allows your moment to unfold naturally.

Saturday Delivery:
In certain cases, we can arrange Saturday delivery. Please be aware this option carries a higher risk; if delivery is missed, the next attempt will not occur until Monday.

Because your piece begins its journey the moment your order is placed, we are not able to accept cancellations. Each ring is created specifically for the person who will wear it, and production starts right away. I kindly ask that all details are confirmed before checkout so your experience remains smooth and worry-free.

Lux Diamonds accepts returns on ready-to-ship and made-to-order pieces if the return is postmarked within 7 days of delivery. The piece must be in original, unworn condition and returned with all packaging, certificates, and presentation materials included.
All returns must be approved in advance, so please reach out through our contact form before sending anything back.

Final Sale Items (not eligible for return or refund):

Refunds & Store Credit:

• Refunds are issued less a 20% restocking fee
• Store credit may be issued for the full purchase amount
•  Refunds are returned to the original payment method
• Please allow 5–10 business days for your bank to complete the posting process

• Please ship your return using FedEx Priority or another carrier that provides full insurance and tracking for the full value of the piece.
• The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
• Lux Diamonds cannot be held responsible for items that are lost, delayed, or damaged while in transit back to us. For your peace of mind, please ensure the package is securely packed and insured before sending.

Our warranty covers concerns related to the original craftsmanship of your piece. We will fix minor issues or replace items that have more issues than expected with a new design of your choosing using the full amount spent on the setting.  We will reuse the center diamond for the new ring or piece of jewelry.  We do not include damage from daily wear, accidental impact, or repairs performed by another jeweler.

You may have your ring resized by another jeweler without voiding the warranty, as long as the resizing follows our two-size adjustment guideline. Because resizing requires skill and care, I strongly recommend choosing a reputable jeweler with experience in fine bridal pieces.

Your ring was made to be loved and worn every day — treating it gently and maintaining it thoughtfully will help preserve its beauty for years to come.

We accept all major credit cards, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay for a seamless, secure checkout experience.

At this time, Lux Diamonds does not offer in-house payment plans. If you prefer financing, many clients choose to use their bank, credit card provider, or a third-party lender of their choice to arrange financing independently.

We’re happy to provide a complimentary ring sizer with any placed order — just let us know if you’d like one sent to you.

If you prefer to be sized locally, we recommend visiting one or two reputable jewelers to confirm your measurement. Ring sizing can vary depending on technique and tools, so getting a second opinion is often very helpful.

Keep in mind that temperature, weather, and even time of day can affect how your ring fits. It’s completely normal for your finger size to shift slightly — there is no single “perfect” size that feels the same every moment. Our goal is to find the fit that feels comfortable and natural for everyday wear.

We offer both natural and lab-grown diamonds.
Your choice of center stone typically determines the type of side stones we use so the piece is visually consistent. If you prefer one over the other, simply let us know — we will happily price your ring accordingly and discuss any cost differences before finalizing.

Yes. Each lab-grown center diamond is personally selected by Jeremy.
We focus on GIA Premium lab-grown diamonds whenever available — meaning:

• Excellent Cut
• Excellent Polish
•  Excellent Symmetry
•  VVS2+ Clarity
•  D Color

If a GIA Premium stone is not available in your desired size or budget, we may recommend an IGI or GCAL certified stone instead. These options can provide a beautiful alternative at a lower cost, and we’ll walk you through the comparison so you feel confident in your decision.

You will always be included in the selection process — this is a collaborative experience.

Yes. All of our natural center diamonds are GIA certified. Our minimum center quality is VS2 and H in color. Other clarity and colors available upon request. We only select the best in class.  They are not meant to find the cheapest alternative in the same grade only the best in its grade.  
We select for:

• Excellent Cut
• Excellent Polish
•  No to slight fluorescence (unless medium or strong fluorescence is intentionally chosen to improve warmth and glow in certain lower color diamonds)

Our melee diamonds are carefully matched for color, clarity, and visual balance. While melee stones are not individually certified industry-wide, we maintain a high internal quality standard to ensure your ring is cohesive, bright, and beautifully finished.

Your ring should feel harmonious from every angle — and we take that seriously.

+ How do you source your diamonds?

I take diamond sourcing seriously because what you wear should feel meaningful in every way—from where your stone comes from to the moment it’s placed on your hand.

I work exclusively with a trusted diamond supplier I’ve built a long-term relationship with. Their standards align with my own values of integrity and transparency. They adhere to the Kimberley Process, comply with the World Diamond Council System of Warranties, and are members of the Responsible Jewellery Council.

This ensures that every polished, mined diamond we offer is:

•  Certified as conflict-free, backed by government-validated documentation
• Transported only between recognized partner countries, in sealed and tamper-proof packaging
• Sold with a written guarantee stating the diamond is conflict-free, included on every invoice

I want you to feel completely confident—not just in the beauty of your diamond, but in the story behind it. Your ring should reflect love, meaning, and peace of mind from the very beginning.

We work with both natural, mined gemstones and high-quality lab-created gemstones. Each stone is personally hand-selected by Jeremy, chosen for its color, clarity, character, and overall presence. Whether natural or lab grown, every gemstone we use is sourced thoughtfully and crafted into a piece designed to be cherished for a lifetime.

Ethical sourcing is deeply important to us. We only choose gemstones that align with our values and do not contribute to conflict, harm, or exploitation in any part of the process.

Our stones are sourced from small, reputable miners and independent brokers—people we trust and have built relationships with over time. This allows us to offer gemstones that are not only beautiful, but meaningful, responsible, and aligned with the heart of Lux Diamonds.

Most gemstones do not come with lab reports unless they are specifically purchased with one. If you would like a stone that includes a certification, let us know — we are happy to source accordingly.

Chargebacks & Lost Packages

We take great care in the way every piece is packaged, insured, and shipped. Each order is:

• Fully insured
• Carefully documented
• Tracked from the moment it leaves our hands
  
  While lost or delayed shipments are extremely rare, we are prepared and proactive should an issue arise. If a package is delayed or missing, we follow official carrier timelines and work with our third-party insurance provider to resolve the situation. In many cases, we will remake your piece or provide a solution before a claim is fully processed — because we don’t believe you should be left waiting in uncertainty.

By placing an order, you agree to allow us the opportunity to resolve any shipping concerns through the proper claims process. Filing a chargeback during this process — especially while a package is still in transit or under review — may be considered fraudulent under U.S. federal law (18 U.S. Code § 1343 – Wire Fraud).

We take chargebacks seriously and reserve the right to challenge them with full documentation, including shipping proof, timestamps, insurance records, and communication history. Customers who misuse or abuse this process may be restricted from future purchases.

Yes — we can recreate our styles. Each diamond or gemstone is unique, so pieces may vary slightly, but the overall design will remain true to the original.

Our jewelry is crafted in the United States and internationally, depending on the techniques and specialized craftsmanship required. Some work simply requires master artisans who are not widely available domestically. Every piece is made in solid gold or platinum and hand-finished with care.

Yes — absolutely.
Our manufacturing partners are members of the Responsible Jewellery Council, and our diamond suppliers adhere to the Kimberley Process. We prioritize fair labor, responsible sourcing, and mindful production throughout every stage.

All of our pieces are crafted in solid metal — never plated.

We do not work with customer-provided stones, and we do not melt down existing jewelry to repurpose into new designs.

We do not sell our settings separately. Each Lux Diamonds setting is designed and crafted specifically for the stone that will be set in it.

Yes — we partner with BriteCo to provide documentation that can be used to insure your ring either directly through BriteCo or through your preferred insurer.

We do not currently have a physical storefront. Lux Diamonds is based in Downtown Chicago, and the goal is to one day open a space where we can welcome clients in person.
